intelliWeb

intelligenia has developed a complete content management system called intelliWeb. This platform is so adaptable and configurable that it enables the development of any systems: something as basic as creating a little web page to show company information to his or her clients, or developing a complex management system.

intelliWeb has been developed to enable non-trained users to manage all the information that can be found in a web site: publishing news, changing information, uploading files... Moreover, intelligenia offers training courses to learn how to use intelliWeb. These courses can be useful for users with no experience in the Internet and web systems.

Many applications have been developed for intelliWeb - contact forms, news boards, translation systems for the website, photo galleries, browsers... We can, of course, develop customized modules so that intelliWeb is just the way you need it to be.

intelliWeb is a distributed and multiplatform system. Why multiplatform? Because it enables the client to develop different websites with different modules, configuration, layout and information. Why distributed? Because it can be installed in different servers at the same time in order to carry out load balancing techniques. The client can take decisions about the configuration such as assigning a physical server to two platforms (websites), and three servers to only one platform, it has a high load.

Moreover, all platforms in an intelliWeb system can share information and be communicated to each other: for instance, a central website can show news published in the other websites related, users can be common to several websites or belong to just one of them...

Clients can choose to arrange the maintenance of a product. This means that the clients will automatically receive the improved versions of all modules and have the possibility to ask for the installation and configuration of the new modules that may be developed.

Successful Implementations

intelliweb has been successfully applied for different clients, such as:

University of Granada

The University of Granada has changed the location its main website (and also the main websites of all vice-rectorships and main services) to the intelliWeb system. Many departments and centres related to this institution are changing its website system location too. Their systems have been configured with a package called UniWeb. It includes modules that have been modified for the needs of the University.

Nowadays, over 25 platforms (websites) of the UGR are included in this system. Each of them has its own characteristics, modifications and layouts, but they can all share information and automatically link to each other... Many offices, departments and entities related to the UGR are joining the UniWeb system to enjoy all these advantages.

The UniWeb system consists on a 5 linux server farm that share a database system (MySQL in a replication mode, with a master and 4 slaves) and the web servers (Apache + PHP5). These servers share the load of all platforms executed on them equally. However, some of these platforms are executed on independent servers that share the database with the main farm or execute their own database server.

intelliWeb system is easy to use for a non-specialized user, and it allows to work in a distributed way and share information by either establishing a main database for all platforms or establishing different databases.

Fase20: Conference Management

Fase20 is a company dedicated to the field of conference organization. intelliWeb has enabled them to manage all their conferences online, which means that they can access to all recorded data from wherever they need to - which is very useful, specially when they are not at their office, but wherever the conference or congress is held.

Moreover, this multiplatform system enables the automatic creation of conference web pages which can be easily modified whenever needed. These web sites have advanced tools that enable the speakers to send documents to the company and also let the member of the examining board mark the papers and decide whether they are suitable or not, among other advantages.

The automatization of all the tasks enable Fase20 to save money in management costs of the conference while they increase the quality of the result, as far as web appearance is concerned.

Institute of Peace & Conflicts

Imagen 7The Institute of Peace and Conflicts of the University of Granada needed to create a website in a simple and fast manner that enabled them to manage the information about the project “JLS / 2007 / RAD / 015” for the study and prevention of Islam radicalization.

By using intelliWeb, an excellent website with amazing graphics could be created in a short period of time. Besides, users can update the website or add information to it even if they have not received any specific training.
